Volvo Cars global manufacturing factories were strategising how to digitalise their staff allocation and planning process. There were too many silos in between tools/ or communication methods, and if nothing is consistent, it would be difficult for the factory to work efficiently. I went in to the project to do field research and design thinking workshop at supporting the client at making business decision on digitalise manning process, and providing design of manning tool.
The whole research and design journey were done in 5 months. we collected 32 interviews, 4 workshops cross Ghent and Torslanda. Project team and product owner was both very pleased about our delivery to solve the communication gaps, responsive tool design, and reporting system.
